Wow, that's a change...

That's what my dad said when I walked in the door after changing my hair color.

Sometimes a girl needs a change. :)

Friends

Saturday I had lunch with Kate and Angie. Kate and Angie and I all met at Utah State.(Fall of 1997) We had such a great time. Kate and I lived together--then one summer it was Kate and Angie and me, all in one room. :) So fun. It's crazy to think that we have been friends for such a long time. These ladies have always been there for me. They are awesome. I love them and I feel so blessed to have met them and have them in my life. They always have my back.
Kate's little girl, Hailie

Angie's little one, Chole.
I think they are both so adorable.
It was Kate's idea to meet together once a month and have lunch. We've been doing it for a few years. This time we met at Kate and Trevor's pub and watched the World Cup. I had so much fun.
I look forward to many more lunches through the years!

Prom 2010

I was in charge of Prom again this year. We had it at UVU. Our theme was "Look How Far We've Come" Eveything went well and the students had a fun time. I'm so glad it's over.

Amy and Tanner (Preston) and me all dressed up.

Amy, Steph and me.

Amy and me being funny. What would I do without Amy? She is always willing to help me with whatever I ask. Love her! We laughed, we danced, we crowned royalty--- We had a great time.

Teal, me and Kasey. Kasey totally helped me plan Prom this year. She was a huge life-saver.

My sisters stopped by to see the finished product. Lisa, Emily and Amy

Ike and Amy

Josh and I. I chaperoned Josh on the New York trip and had so much fun. He is a great kid.

These guys are my favorite. Tanner, Chase, Wace and Chad. They looked so nice all dressed up.

Brett, Nick, Tanner, Chase, Wace, and Chad

The very helpful administrators --clearly keeping people in line.

And I couldn't have done it without the help of my friends--calling on them to help chaperone and take tickets. They are fantastic.

As chaperones, we usually all go out to dinner before hand. This year we went to Outback.

Becky and Amy.

Carrie and Nancy. Carrie takes tickets every year for me. Nancy is a great friend and helps me plan all year long.

Amy, Kristin and me. (I failed to give Kristin the dinner invite last year--now that debt is paid..check please!)

Race for the Cure

Time for Race for the Cure again. We had a pretty big group attend. It's always a fun time. You can never have enough pink!

"Come on Lisa, 7 is too early to be camera ready--"

"Hey can I get a copy of that?"

I was already with my bandana on, then Zack informs us that we are doing it TuPac style. Hence I look like a 80's rocker with bad hair. Deb and Jess getting ready.

and here we are ready to run!!

Here is the full group. I love the socks!! My grandma is a survivor of breast cancer so we run for her!!

Lisa and I ready to go!! Look out group!

Zack was trying to lead us in a few stretches--we weren't sure he was going to get back up.

We made it. The group after the run. We had a great time. I can't wait for next year.

My parents came up and met us. They don't run, but they support us by cheering for us as we run past.

And again, I love the socks.

New York part II

What trip to New York isn't complete without a stop at Tiffany's?? That's my little treat to myself. Last time it was a necklace, this time it was a ring. I was so excited for the little blue box.

And I had to have my Magnolia bakery cupcakes. These are so good.

Nancy and Josh wait for the ferry at Battery Park.

The group I was in charge of. Baily, Stephanie, Tasha, Laura and Alisa. They were so fun.

This was one of my favorite activities: Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. I think the bridge is so cool. I loved it. The kids complained, of course.

Next stop was Radio City Music Hall.--Home of the Rockettes! Ok, this I really enjoyed and I should have taken more pictures. The students asked what was so cool about this place and I said it's where the Rockettes perform. Their response: Who??

We took a tour through the place. Because it's a Historic Landmark, they have to keep everything looking like it did in 1930's. It was so cool. We even got to meet a Rockette. We asked her to do a high-kick, she said she wasn't warmed up. I was like--LAME. Hello.

So I had to try one myself.

and it's harder then you think to get the leg up there!!
Griesmar thought he could do better. I think mine is higher.

Next stop: Chinatown.

Me and Mason: Zoolander-ing it.

We had a good time in Chinatown. I ended up buying sunglasses and perfume and a purse. Goodtimes. We saw another play that night. We saw Adams Family the first night, Billy Elliott, In the Heights and Lend Me a Tenor. I liked them all. They were great. I was not ready to come home, but I was so tired.

After a 45 minute subway ride and an airtrain situation and then a 4 1/2 hour flight, we made it home.

These picture crack me up. They were so tired. I can't wait for the next trip.
