In July I went up to visit Jamie and Jeff in Portland. It was a good time. It is so pretty. I am a northwest fan. When I first got there we went and ate at a vacant lot, where people had set up trailers to cook. I did not fully understand until I went and saw.
Jeff ordering some food.
Jamie and I ordered from this place. It was pretty good.
Jamie and Jeff. Jeff bought a fruit pie thing. It was filled with peanut butter and chocolate then fried. Yeah, the thought of eating the whole thing made Jamie and I kind of sick We just had a bit and that was enough. The food is really cheap and so good. Excellent chef's.
Jamie and I went shopping. Trust Jamie to know all the good shopping centers. There is no sales tax in Oregon. It was awesome. I bought a North Face jacket. Now I'm very excited for the winter.
Then we went to Seaside on our way to Astoria. I like to call it Carnival town. Because that is what it felt like. One big Carnival. The smell of cotton candy, taffy, corndogs. To me it was stereotype northwest.

Love the wind. Hey it's Oregon.
The Seaside stop was on the way to Astoria. Where Goonies was filmed. I was pretty excited.
Welcome to Astoria. Home of the Goonies. I loved it.
I'm glad the owners understand the need for people to see the Goonie house and don't mind foot traffic.
Brand and Mikey's house. No we did not do the shuffle.
Data's house.
The jail where the Fratelli's help the brother escape.
The museum where the Dad works. In the movie the Goonies are riding on their bikes past it and wave to Mikey's Dad.
The view from the Goonie house. I love this picture. I love how the house are built into the hillside.
This is a view from the other side of the Goonie house, along the coast. I think it's so pretty.
