Kenny and Vegas

Never wanted nothing more.
Kenny and Vegas, what could be better? At least for that weekend there was nothing better. We started the trip by staying in St. George with the Grandparents. That is always a good time.

Friday morning we headed to the big city. After the shopping, it was Kenny time. The concert was held at the MGM Grand and after a 30 minute walk, (no I'm not kidding) we arrived.

LeeAnn Rimes opened for Kenny. She did a good job. We are all envious of her legs..long and lean. Then it was Kenny...

He always puts on a good show. We are never disappointed with him. We decided that no matter how much he costs we will always go see Kenny. After the concert, we always have key lime pie, in honor of Kenny.

I still can't get enough of Kenny. I have not taken out his CD since the concert. It's addicting.

The next day, it was breakfast and hanging out at the pool.

On Sunday after hitting a buffet, it was time to head for home. We had a great time. Can't wait for next year.

On a warm summer's evening...

Ok it wasn't that warm, but we had fun anyway. Last week we had a BBQ up at my aunt and uncle's house in Midway. Most people felt it was too cold to stay out and roast the dogs over the fire. Only the die-hards stayed outside. Ryan was the first to go inside. (light-weight)

My cousins, Ryan, Errol, (Melissa's husband), Melissa and Erika. Dad and Mom. They got cold and quickly went inside.

We were ready and excited and the evening actually got really nice. We also sang around the fire. Errol's personal fav: The Gambler. (a little off key and missed a few verses, but still it cracked me up)

As the night went on we got ready for s'mores. This was how Errol fixed up a s'more. We had to melt the chocolate while we were toasting the marshmallows, this way everything we hot and melted. It was a great idea.

This was the way of the city folk. They did their s'mores over the stove. I don't think their s'mores tasted as good as mine done by the fire. Especially with Errol's contraption. We had so much fun laughing and playing with the fire, we can't wait to do it again. Lisa and Emily will have to be sure to make it next time. (Lisa was sick and had to miss, Emily had a wedding reception to go to0

Wasting money

I am loving that school is out. It's like the best thing ever. I went shopping for a new swimsuit, because we (sisters and cousin) are headed to Vegas for the Kenny Chesney concert. We are so excited. And Lisa has a new camera so she will be taking LOTS of pictures.

Also, another side note. Bret Micheals just released his solo album, Rock my World. Yes, I am embarrassed to admit it but I did tune in occasionally to Rock my World. It was enough to sell me on his cd. I just made the purchase. Thanks itunes! Jamie, this picture is for you as well! Love that hat.

Last Days of School

This week is the last week of school. I am so excited, I could cry. Usually I get kind of nostalgic but not this year. I can't wrap this year up any faster then I am trying to do right now. This was one of my classes, actually my favorite class. We had donut Fridays and cereal Thursdays, I would bring the milk and they would bring the cereal. Good times. We also did "locker" runs. They would ask to go to their "locker" and come back with drinks, McDonald's etc. Soon I had to specify, your real locker or a "locker" run. They were pretty funny. I will probably miss them next year, right now they are pretty frustrating and I am excited to see them move on. Graduation is Thursday. I can't wait!

Time for S'mores

The other day I was in the mood for s'mores. So I busted out my s'more kit. It's seriously one of my favorite things. I bought it last year and used it all the time. (Thanks to my great friend Karen.--we used hers at girls camp and I had to have one) It's the next best thing to a campfire.

It really makes such a great s'more.

Here we are using it at our last family reunion. I'm so excited for summer.

Wishin' for New York

So my sisters and my cousin are headed for New York tonight. I am totally wishing that I was going with them. I am totally missing the city--so I am going to finally post my pictures.

We stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania. It was right across from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It was ok. It's a good thing that we were always out all hours of the night and did not hang too much in the room.
Nancy and me eating Pizza at Grimaldi's.

One day we took the subway into Brooklyn to have pizza. First of all the Brooklyn Bridge is one of my favorite New York landmarks. I think it is so cool. We ate pizza at Grimaldi's. It was so good. This is where I saw Sophia Bush. It was so exciting. She was one table away. This was also the day my friends and I all slept in. We had to be in the lobby by 7:45. We woke up at 7:28!! NOT COOL. But we made it.

Magnolia Bakery. LOVE IT! They have the best cupcakes ever. My favorite is the chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. I totally slammed my cupcake. I was starving. I am dying for one now.

Earlier that day we stopped by Ground Zero. It was an emotional place. I could not see much there, due to construction, but there was a feeling there.

We were sure to support the local Fire Department. My girls were very happy to pose with the HOT firemen. I liked the one on the right. They were like celebrities around there. Their station was right across from Ground Zero, so their department had to be one of the first on the scene.

While we were there we saw a Mets game. The Mets won in the 14th inning. It was pretty exciting. I wish it was the Yankee/Red Sox game, but those tickets were a little pricey.

Go Mets! Darcie, Nancy and me eating a hot dog. It was good, but it was no Dodger Dog.

This was one of my favorite purchases of the trip. I bought an initial necklace at Tiffany's. I love it. It's my favorite piece of jewelry and I wear it almost everyday.

We saw some Broadway shows while we were there as well. I saw CryBaby, Phantom and Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins was my favorite.

The group at the M&M store. Nancy, Darcie, Gwen, me and Mari.

Tiffany and Bailey looking at purse on Canal Street. I got yelled at for taking this picture. (evidence maybe...) I bought two purses and perfume. I love them all!

The day we slept in. I think we look pretty good. Again we made it on time..and no one knew!

Sydney, me and Nicki. Two of the girls I was in charge of.

Favorite Pictures.

I can't wait to go back.
