New York-Spring Break

This year for Spring Break, I headed to New York with the drama department. We took 60 students to the big city. I was pretty excited. After the red-eye flight we arrived in New York and checked in and then headed to a Dance studio. This picture cracked me up.

Students doing a warm up. Next stop: Top of the Rock. This was a great view of the city.

We were so tired. But we managed to have a good time. Then off to the hotel for mandatory nap time. I was so excited.

Then it was off to our play. We saw Adams Family.

After the play we stopped for some cheesecake at Jr's. It was so good. We had cheescake every night.

I love Times Square. I just can't get enough of the lights and people everywhere.

The next day started with a stroll through Central Park. This place is HUGE. I love seeing the park in the middle of the city.

The whole group. They were such great kids.

California part II

We spent some time at the 3rd Street Promanade. Lisa and I needed a restroom so bad and we thought it was kind of funny that we had to pay a quarter to open the door.

This is our favorite cookie place. AKA: the Cookie Nazi. We love it. They have the best ice cream sandwiches.

And what trip to California is complete without the beach? I loved running on the strand every morning. Is there a better way to start your day?

Ahh, I love LA.

While in LA, we ate at Coogies. Our favorite brunch place in Malibu. We actually had a celebrity sighting. We saw Lauren Conrad, from The Hills. It was so exciting.

These are my favorite pic of my sisters:

I had a great time with my family.

California Trip Part 1

Over President's Day weekend, we decided to head to California. Jamie flew in from Portland and my parents drove out after spending time in St. George. We all met at Jim and Jill's for an exciting weekend. Love the sleeping arrangements. It's the best. Nothing says family vaca like wall to wall air matresses. I love it!!

Getting ready for the day. How many women can we fit in the bathroom?

Good thing we get along and can all share the bathroom.

The group getting Sprinkles Cupcakes. My dad did not understand what was so great about them--and wasn't sure waiting in line for a cupcake was worth it. We love them!

Introducing Dad to Pinkberry. Aka: Crackberry. It's so addicting. We had to have one everyday.

The group at the Grove. I think the Crackberry is a hit.
Next day, Downtown LA. Always a good time. Lisa showing off her purchases. It was totally crowded. Next Stop: Lunch. This little joint was pretty tasty. You walked in and it was like you stepped back in time. Seriously, 1950's diner. Great french dip sandwiches. However, there was a long line. My dad had no problem waiting in this line for the sandwich.

Next stop: Griffin Observatory.

RJ giving a science lesson. Didn't realize he was a science geek. Who know?
We had to park pretty far away and then hike up. I was ready to bag the whole thing, but we made it and had a good time.
More to come!

24 things I will miss about 24

So 24 is over. This has been my number one show. So in honor of it's demise, here are 24 things I will miss about 24.
24. The clock count down.
23. My Monday nights being occupied from 8-9 for 20 weeks straight.
22. Text messaging my fellow agents.
21. Screaming at the TV
20. Finding out who the mole is.
19. Wondering who the mole is all season.
18. Wondering how the writers can top what I just saw
17. Being surprised when Jack breaks the rules...again. I know it's coming, but I'm still shocked.
16. Totally believing how the writers pull Jack out of China, retirement, and some torture scene etc,...
15. Screaming "Oh my Hell, no way" during the torture scene.
14. Jack's reckless driving.
13. The nicknames that Television Without Pity gave the characters, my personal faves were, Spawn, Poor Man's Angelina Jolie, Kief-chopper, Kiefmobile, and Soul patch
12. Waiting from the end of May until the beginning of Jan for the next season.
11. Buying the season when it comes out and watching it with fellow agents and quoting lines (I'm in, foreshadowing, yeah, assaulting fellow CTU personnel)
10. Making a new t-shirt for the new season.
9. Hearing the CTU office phone ring. (it's actually my cell phone ring, so it does live on)
8. Laughing when Kiefer makes an a** of himself in real life and has to 'apologize for the embarrassment I caused to fellow cast members and friends and family'
7. Speaking CTU language--I've got the football, CTU Idaho, Utah, Agent Pope, Mills,
6. Being surprised when I find out that people 'couldn't get into 24'
5. Laughing at the fact that Kiefer runs around in a size small sweater.
4. Being a little embarrassed for Chole as she supports Jack in everything--because she has a huge closet crush on him.
3. Jack saving the day again and totally believing it's possible.
2. Jack yelling "Damn it" as he either screams, or shoots or runs away.
and the number one thing I will miss about 24 is...

Jack saying..
"I GIVE YOU MY WORD"
