California Trip Part 1

Over President's Day weekend, we decided to head to California. Jamie flew in from Portland and my parents drove out after spending time in St. George. We all met at Jim and Jill's for an exciting weekend. Love the sleeping arrangements. It's the best. Nothing says family vaca like wall to wall air matresses. I love it!!

Getting ready for the day. How many women can we fit in the bathroom?

Good thing we get along and can all share the bathroom.

The group getting Sprinkles Cupcakes. My dad did not understand what was so great about them--and wasn't sure waiting in line for a cupcake was worth it. We love them!

Introducing Dad to Pinkberry. Aka: Crackberry. It's so addicting. We had to have one everyday.

The group at the Grove. I think the Crackberry is a hit.
Next day, Downtown LA. Always a good time. Lisa showing off her purchases. It was totally crowded. Next Stop: Lunch. This little joint was pretty tasty. You walked in and it was like you stepped back in time. Seriously, 1950's diner. Great french dip sandwiches. However, there was a long line. My dad had no problem waiting in this line for the sandwich.

Next stop: Griffin Observatory.

RJ giving a science lesson. Didn't realize he was a science geek. Who know?
We had to park pretty far away and then hike up. I was ready to bag the whole thing, but we made it and had a good time.
More to come!

24 things I will miss about 24

So 24 is over. This has been my number one show. So in honor of it's demise, here are 24 things I will miss about 24.
24. The clock count down.
23. My Monday nights being occupied from 8-9 for 20 weeks straight.
22. Text messaging my fellow agents.
21. Screaming at the TV
20. Finding out who the mole is.
19. Wondering who the mole is all season.
18. Wondering how the writers can top what I just saw
17. Being surprised when Jack breaks the rules...again. I know it's coming, but I'm still shocked.
16. Totally believing how the writers pull Jack out of China, retirement, and some torture scene etc,...
15. Screaming "Oh my Hell, no way" during the torture scene.
14. Jack's reckless driving.
13. The nicknames that Television Without Pity gave the characters, my personal faves were, Spawn, Poor Man's Angelina Jolie, Kief-chopper, Kiefmobile, and Soul patch
12. Waiting from the end of May until the beginning of Jan for the next season.
11. Buying the season when it comes out and watching it with fellow agents and quoting lines (I'm in, foreshadowing, yeah, assaulting fellow CTU personnel)
10. Making a new t-shirt for the new season.
9. Hearing the CTU office phone ring. (it's actually my cell phone ring, so it does live on)
8. Laughing when Kiefer makes an a** of himself in real life and has to 'apologize for the embarrassment I caused to fellow cast members and friends and family'
7. Speaking CTU language--I've got the football, CTU Idaho, Utah, Agent Pope, Mills,
6. Being surprised when I find out that people 'couldn't get into 24'
5. Laughing at the fact that Kiefer runs around in a size small sweater.
4. Being a little embarrassed for Chole as she supports Jack in everything--because she has a huge closet crush on him.
3. Jack saving the day again and totally believing it's possible.
2. Jack yelling "Damn it" as he either screams, or shoots or runs away.
and the number one thing I will miss about 24 is...

Jack saying..
"I GIVE YOU MY WORD"

Doc Martins

I recently cleaned out my closest. And found these beauties. I haven't worn them in years, except for when 90's day rolls around at the high school. Oh how I loved my Doc Martins. That was some hard earned lawn mowing, Macey's checking money. It was hard to part with the thick sole gems, but I did. Hopefully someone else will enjoy them. The shoes have been with me through some great times. The stories they could tell!! (5 pairs)

Formal night Cruise Part III

Formal night on the cruise. This was a fun sexy time. We had a cocktail party with the radio station. That was interesting.

I love Mary and Marianne's faces. They are so not impressed.

After the cocktail party we just walked around and waited for our dinner time.

We found Frankie sitting by himself and we asked him for a picture. We later found out that he got into a little tiff with his girlfriend. Kind of made us laugh.

This will forever be know as the "incident". Jen and I were just enjoying our water and enjoying sitting, when DB came stumbling out of the bar and Marianne called him over. Let's just say all sorts of inappropriate comments were going on. We covered MANY topics--things that should not be posted on a blog.

Drunk DB talking to Jen about religion and other life ideas. My favorite is Jen's face. Let's say, we thought we were in with the DeeJay's and then after the "incident" we were so out and DB did not talk to us for the rest of the trip. We kind of laughed. I have never seen a happy drunk change and get angry so fast. It was interesting.

Cruise Part II

First morning on the cruise. Good eats. I loved all the fresh fruit. and Jen and I couldn't get enough of the ice cream.

Jen--standing line for our unlimited coke card. It's fantastic!!

Time for the drill. Get your life preservers ready!!

Smile--Jen. In case of emergency!!

The view from the ship, while we waited for the all clear.

Jen and I couldn't pass up the ice cream. So we partook everytime we walked past. yes, we didn't even put back the life preservers before we stopped. Love it!! Fun sexy time.

View from of the ship.

Awww--so peacful.

Don't be fooled by the sunshine. It was actually kind of cold on the deck.

Fisher Price-My First Cruise Part I

Ok, so I talked my roommates and my cousin into coming on a cruise with 97.1 ZHT. That was a good time. We booked the cruise last July and it finally came. We were so excited. I had a great time with my roommates and my cousin.

My roommates, Marianne and Mary

At the Park 'N Jet. We are ready to party on the big boat.

We couldn't wait to get on the boat and get to warmer weather.

Getting our suitcases at the Long Beach Airport.

Mary and Frankie (from97.1) and Marianne.

Jen and me

While we were traveling to Long Beach, due to storms, our ship was delayed. We couldn't board until 8:30 that night!!! What are we going to do? Well, let me show you.

There was a 'holding' center for us to wait it out. I seriously felt like a hurricane victim. But we made the best of it. They did feed us and there was Diet Coke. Could it be that bad? Well....

We did go to the Aquarium, and walked around for a bit.

Marianne and Mary sang a few songs for us. :)
There were some clowns, who made balloon things for people. This was a cupid. Mary was very excited to get it. It was a great conversation piece.

Finally we got on the boat. This is mine and Jen's room. Don't worry the dude separated the beds the next night.

And the old fake window. Love it.

That first day was exhausting. We were in cars, shuttles, buses and then finally a ship.

More to come!
