Something Good this way comes...

I have not blogged in a bit. These are some pictures summarizing the summer. I had a great summer.
I had a great time at the Park City Arts Festival. They have the coolest stuff there.

We had our annual trip to Star Valley--We golfed and ate and had a great time.

Jen and I were so tired on the first round of golf, we found a number and we liked it. So our goal was to just get 5's. We played better the next day.I had a little car trouble. My battery was "deader then crap" (the Nappa Auto parts guy's words not mine) But with a little help from my friends, we got that taken care of.

My friend Jessica was in town and stopped by on my birthday. That was so fun and a great surprise. She had her little Easton with her. Happy 32 Steff!

A few summer BBQ's with the peeps. Me, (Champ) Emily, (MM), Errol (Ace) I love my peeps!

And Lisa, (Smoothie) We all have so much fun together.

And I spent a few days in Portland with Jeff and Jamie. That was a great time.

I love hanging out with my family and friends.

Nobody puts Baby in the corner

I was so sad to hear about Patrick Swayze. I loved Dirty Dancing and Patrick Swayze. Growing up we watched Dirty Dancing SO many times, we had the entire show memorized and still quote great lines today. Such as "I carried a watermelon" I have always been a big fan of Patrick Swayze. And who can forget his character Bodhi from Point Break? "Nice Point Break" I watched that a million times as well. And Ghost--well that is such a classic. I think this weekend I will be watching Dirty Dancing.

Portland part 2

I got a little behind. Finally I will finish with Portland pics. Next stop was the market. They had the best fresh fruit. I loved it.

Then we went to the Saturday market. This was more arts and crafts. I love it.

I bought a cool necklace. Tons of interesting people. Later in the day, Jamie and Jeff took me to VooDoo doughnuts. Very good. The donuts all have different names. This was the triple chocolate penatration donut. Yeah that's right. Good stuff.

Jeff with his grape something donut.

me and Jamie enjoying our doughnut.

Me in front of the Voo Doo truck.

I also went to Powell's bookstore. This place is huge. I couldn't believe all the books. You could spend forever in that place. The store takes up one whole block.

more pictures of Portland.

One of the last places we went was called Multnomah Falls. This was pretty cool. However we did get in a little rain storm and we were soaking wet.

I had a great time in Portland. I'm ready for another visit. Thanks Jamie and Jeff. Love you guys!

Portland part I

In July I went up to visit Jamie and Jeff in Portland. It was a good time. It is so pretty. I am a northwest fan. When I first got there we went and ate at a vacant lot, where people had set up trailers to cook. I did not fully understand until I went and saw.Jeff ordering some food. Jamie and I ordered from this place. It was pretty good.
Jamie and Jeff. Jeff bought a fruit pie thing. It was filled with peanut butter and chocolate then fried. Yeah, the thought of eating the whole thing made Jamie and I kind of sick We just had a bit and that was enough. The food is really cheap and so good. Excellent chef's.

Jamie and I went shopping. Trust Jamie to know all the good shopping centers. There is no sales tax in Oregon. It was awesome. I bought a North Face jacket. Now I'm very excited for the winter. Then we went to Seaside on our way to Astoria. I like to call it Carnival town. Because that is what it felt like. One big Carnival. The smell of cotton candy, taffy, corndogs. To me it was stereotype northwest. Love the wind. Hey it's Oregon. The Seaside stop was on the way to Astoria. Where Goonies was filmed. I was pretty excited.
Welcome to Astoria. Home of the Goonies. I loved it. I'm glad the owners understand the need for people to see the Goonie house and don't mind foot traffic.

Brand and Mikey's house. No we did not do the shuffle.
Data's house.
The jail where the Fratelli's help the brother escape.
The museum where the Dad works. In the movie the Goonies are riding on their bikes past it and wave to Mikey's Dad.
The view from the Goonie house. I love this picture. I love how the house are built into the hillside. This is a view from the other side of the Goonie house, along the coast. I think it's so pretty.
More to come......

We went out last night....

I waited all summer to go to my Kenny Chesney concert. This was a big one. We had Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland and Kenny. (Sugarland actually did not play because Jennifer Nettles lost her voice) Good concert. It was a little hot but it was a good time. Can't wait for next year.

Lady Antebellum put on a great concert. Kenny was definitly my favorite.

Then we ended the concernt like we always do....with key lime pie. and we sing Kenny's song key lime pie. Key lime pie, my key lime pie. Come back soon Kenny. We can't wait!
