Fisher Price-My First Cruise Part I

Ok, so I talked my roommates and my cousin into coming on a cruise with 97.1 ZHT. That was a good time. We booked the cruise last July and it finally came. We were so excited. I had a great time with my roommates and my cousin.

My roommates, Marianne and Mary

At the Park 'N Jet. We are ready to party on the big boat.

We couldn't wait to get on the boat and get to warmer weather.

Getting our suitcases at the Long Beach Airport.

Mary and Frankie (from97.1) and Marianne.

Jen and me

While we were traveling to Long Beach, due to storms, our ship was delayed. We couldn't board until 8:30 that night!!! What are we going to do? Well, let me show you.

There was a 'holding' center for us to wait it out. I seriously felt like a hurricane victim. But we made the best of it. They did feed us and there was Diet Coke. Could it be that bad? Well....

We did go to the Aquarium, and walked around for a bit.

Marianne and Mary sang a few songs for us. :)
There were some clowns, who made balloon things for people. This was a cupid. Mary was very excited to get it. It was a great conversation piece.

Finally we got on the boat. This is mine and Jen's room. Don't worry the dude separated the beds the next night.

And the old fake window. Love it.

That first day was exhausting. We were in cars, shuttles, buses and then finally a ship.

More to come!

Christmas

I'm so behind. Christmas came and went--so quick blog on Christmas. Jamie and Jeff came out. We had a great time. I love spending time with friends and family and just hanging out.
Love the early morning pics. The group waiting for presents. Lisa had me for Christmas. She gave me a leather journal from Italy and knee socks. Love them!!

After presents, we had our traditional breakfast, berries and waffles. Good times.

We also got together with the Pope family for a Christmas party.

Preston showing off his new Christmas present.

We always have so much fun when we hang out. I can't wait for the next get together. It's been too long.

Christmas Formal

My ward had a Christmas Formal Dinner/Dance. (Yes I know how that sounds) It was actually more fun then I thought. It has taken me forever to post the pictures. It was fun to get all dressed up.
I went over to my friend Emily's house and we got ready together. It was a great time.

Emily, me and Jenni

We had to show off our bling! And our purses.

Yes that does say Versace.

We had a fun time. We weren't all that excited about the party, but we had a great time.

Love the Grandparents

So my Grandparents came up for my aunt's birthday. I go over to my mom's house on Sunday and we have a conversation that goes like this:

Steff: Hi Grandpa. Hi Grandma

Grandma: Hi Steff

Grandpa: Oh, Steff's here. Hello.

Steff: How are you guys?

Grandparents: Fine

Grandpa: Steff is there a windstorm outside, or is your hair supposed to look like that?

Steff: hum, no windstorm. It's supposed to look like that.

Grandpa: oh. It's a go-er.

Steff: yeah.

Grandma: Well, we like it from the front.

St. Augustine

Ok, finally the last of the Florida pictures. I am a total slacker. We drove down to St. Augustine. I think this was one of my favorite things to do. The city was so cool and it was a beautiful day. We started it out with....a morning devotional.
We can't forget the stop at the Harley Davidson store to celebrate "Bike"-tober. This place was huge. We actually couldn't stop, just a drive by.

And we can't get too far without a stop for breakfast and a diet coke in a styrofoam cup. Love it.

Next stop: St. Augustines. I was so excited to practice taking pictures with my camera. My uncle was so great to help me and show me some tips. We had a great time. In St. Augustine, we saw Castillo de San Marcos. It was a castle built by the Spanish to protect ther empire in America. It was built in 1756.

At the mission they had a cannon re-enactment. This was pretty cool.

These are some of my favorite pictures of the mission.

Jen talking to Lisa on the phone. It was as if she was there!

Getting my lesson in photography.

Whatever it takes to get the shot. Photographers--got to love them.

After the misson, we walked around the city. We ate at a fantastic resteraunt and had the best fish tacos. We also stopped at a chocolate shop. That was great. But the Chocolate covered Key Lime Pie was our favorite little gem.

It was such a great trip. I'm so ready to go back. Beautiful city.
